Juniper Village in Louisville, home to adults with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia, hosted equine visits made possible by volunteers from Spirit Horse Alliance. T.J., a 14-year-old Palomino gelding, danced for the residents and enjoyed many loving pats. Chiquita, a 3-year-old Medicine Hat Mustang, made her therapeutic debut, complete with a graceful bow.

Residents and staff agree that the visits were a great success and eagerly ask when we can bring the horses back. Your contributions help make more visits possible.
